The absence/ minimal level of funding dedicated to the sector during the recent past has led to no ﬁsheries/aquaculture research being undertaken in the country over the last 15 years, prevented the Fisheries Research Centre (established within the National Academy of Sciences in ) from becoming operative, and ensured a number of.
